Professional Association of the Security Sector (PASS) is registered at the Republic’s Register of Associations under No. 9588/2016 as an independent, non-governmental, non-party, on the interest, public and union grounds based professional association of active and retired members of the public and private security sector, experts and specialists in the field of security, related sciences and disciplines, and other citizens both in Serbia and abroad.

The association was founded in order to:

• Raise the collective awareness of security in society through various activities and actions in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Serbia,

• Link theory and practice in the security sector, vocational and practical, academic communities and members, as the stakeholders of security affairs,

• Work on the proposals in the field of security and security-related issues that would be presented to the authorities in charge and public, aimed at raising the level of security and professionalization of the security structures, in accordance with the rule of law,

• Cooperate with unions and other associations in the security sector in terms of joint action and exchange of experiences and needs of the security sector in order to achieve security of the state and society as well as to improve employment status of employees in the security sector,

• Realize affirmative actions that raise the reputation and trust in the security institutions of the Republic of Serbia – of public (state) and private security sector,

• Educate and train members of security sector in Serbia and in society as a whole.

The Professional Associations of the Security Sector has five types of membership:

• Founders

• Full members

• Associate members

• Honorary members

• Friends

As the bodies of the Association, Statute recognizes the status of:

• Ambassador / emissaries of the Association

• Club of honorary members and friends

• Sections (formed by the Assembly of the Association)
